Uffe Frank

A Danish fashion designer with a flair for exquisite and elegant clothes. Smooth and flowing lines, a flattering silhouette, complimentary fabrics for the Indian subcontinent yet uber chic, his creations are exactly what the modern Indian woman desires.

After spending 30 years in Milan and Rome with Giorgio Armani and Valentino and working the international fashion scene, Frank has found a home for himself in Pondicherry. Lounging in the warm waters of the Bay of Bengal, he finds tranquillity and new ideas. He designs an unusual and varied range of clothes for the Indian woman, sometimes in organic fabrics, at other times using beautiful traditional sarees that the woman of today no longer finds wearable in its original avatar, jersey dresses, brocade pants, satin gowns, silk jackets.. He's also a wedding gown expert, having designed two iconic dresses for the royal Danish wedding in 2004, when Crown Princess Mary married Prince Frederick, a style victory still talked about in fashion circles today.

Along with a large selection of women's wear, Frank also designs men's clothing, makes eye-catching collages and has a flair for decor.

Currently retailing out of Pondicherry, Bangalore, Chennai, Mumbai and Goa in India, and Europe, the Uffe Frank flagship store will soon be ready in Bangalore.
